Gothic Line Prayer Journey Day 2

We already knew we were off to find Mount Rondinaio, the morning started with the word "perseverance". Well again the Lord was right on , we went to the town on the other side and drove up the mountain side asking where this mountain was located, the little old lady gave us the curve of the road and the lamp post and just around there there is a path to the mountain. Needle in a haystack.  Well we arrived at a hilltop restaurant and they gave us, after the the big left turn and the big right  you will find a big pine tree and just across the way you'll see the path.  As miracles go we found it with a parking spot and so we proceeded to climb.  Stay to the left  we were told the path only went to the right this is where we made our own path, (the goat in us came in use).

We made it to the top and wow we found remnants of what the Germans had done .  There was a gun turret, some bunkers and a hole in a rock where they planted a German cross (the guy at the restaurant told us that they planted a cross but someone had removed it).  We prayed, staked the ground, took Communion and made our way back down onto the next town.

We arrived in Cappella ohhhh Cappella,  this is where the perseverance word came in full force, we needed to find Mount Castellacio and also the area where there was a major battle.
Drive up this mountain drive down this mountain drive up another mountain drive down the other mountain, ask a person where this was and they say go up the first mountain we went up.  Ask another person and they say go ask the guy at the coffee shop.  The guy at the coffee shop says to go to the guy at the gas station.  The guy at the gas station says to ask the coffee shop across the street.

Finally we get a lady that knows a guy that might know something and she had his phone number.  After a few minutes she pass us her cellphone and this is where God sent us Mauro.  When you say God send, Mauro was a God send.  He was a library of the places nobody knew about.  We talked for about 10 minutes.  I tried to pay the woman for her phone time but she refused.  We bought a coffee and were on our way.  Before heading up to mount Castellacio we went to Querce a 5 building town that overlooked the battle grounds we prayed and staked the ground.  After that we went up to Mt. Castellacio (after a few more phone calls to Mauro to confirm we were in the right place, and started hiking up to the top of the mountain.  Once we arrived  I (Guido) hear my name being called.  Guess who came to meet us and show us around?  Mauro.  He show us the fox holes that the Americans dug out in defense of the Germans, took us from all sides of the ridge, told us the history and even about the trees that all are dying up there.  Seems some worm has infested the Chestnut trees.  Anyhow  I also continued to use his knowledge to guide me to other places on the follow day, but I'll tell about that later.    Mauro is awesome and looks a bit like Anthony Hopkins.  We were good and ready to leave this area and the struggles of the day

We end our day with a beautiful sun glow.  It had been kind of gray and overcast all day and didn't start clearing up til we were finished praying on the Mountain around 5.  The Lord really knows how to finish off a day.
